Volunteer Fire Fighters
As you are probably aware Fern Acres is subject to forest fires. In the 1970s a resident of a neighboring subdivision was burning something on his property and the fire got out of hand. It burned around 1500 total acres. You can still see some of the scars in the lower portion of the subdivision. The volunteer fire department is here to help protect our property and homes. It helps to lower our fire insurance rates and generally gives us peace of mind. So why not come out and join us in protecting the community.
