The Hawaii Police Department has a new service that will provide traffic advisories and police media releases via text messaging and email. This service is called, Nixle. Hawaii County residents will receive more accurate & timely information on road closures and missing persons through Nixle.We recommend that City Watch and Talisman subscribers also sign up for the Nixle notification service, CD will still provide notifications on tsunamis, earthquakes, Weather Service watches and warnings To sign up go to www.nixle.com and click on the button that says, Residents Sign Up Now!
